Creating New Value and Contributing to Sustainable Development for Society

Daikin pursues management aimed at new value creation to contribute to solutions to social issues and sustainable growth through its businesses. We have identified material sustainability issues facing the company based on assessment of impacts that our business operations have on the environment and society. Regarding the top priority theme of the environment, we established Environmental Vision 2050 based on the analysis of risks and opportunities. In turn, Fusion Strategic Management Plans are used to establish specific targets as well as plan and execute measures for every five-year period.

The Daikin MalaysiacEnvironmental Policy, the "5A Policy", is the local implementation framework that directly supports and drives the global Daikin Environmental Vision 2050, which aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the entire value chain. The aim of 5A Policy is geared towards pollution prevention by reducing waste and wastewater from manufacturing to ensure a clean, stable environment for both local communities and the internal workforce.

Daikin Malaysia recognizes that true sustainability cannot be achieved without a healthy workforce. Daikin Malaysia's strong commitment to the well-being of its workforce, embodied in its Safety & Health Policy and internally referred to as the "5C Policy". This policy emphasizes zero occupational accidents & ill health through active risk management.

These policies support Daikin’s Environmental Vision 2050 by ensuring a safe and healthy workplace, minimizing environmental impact, and complying with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Through structured risk assessments, environmental management, and continuous improvement aligned with the Fusion Strategic Management Plans, Daikin Malaysia translates global sustainability goals into concrete actions and measurable targets at the operational level.
