Daikin highlighted its sustainability and health initiatives at the Emperor’s Birthday Celebration

Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd was honored to participate as an exhibitor at the event organized by the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia in conjunction with the Emperor’s Birthday Celebration Reception, held at JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur. The event provided a platform for Daikin to highlight its ongoing efforts in environmental protection and health promotion. Distinguished guests included Malaysian Economy Minister Dato’ Seri Mohd Rafizi Ramli, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tan Sri Dato Dr Johari bin Abdul, Daikin Malaysia’s Chief Operating Officer Toshiharu Tsurumaru and delegates from various embassies.

As the largest Japan-related event organized by the Japan Embassy in Malaysia, the primary objective of the event was to promote Japanese companies, brands and their expertise within Malaysia. Additionally, this event allowed Japanese firms to showcase their products while emphasizing their contributions to environmental sustainability and health promotion.

During the event, Daikin Malaysia showcased a range of its environmental initiatives, such as its Refrigerant Recovery program, which involves the collection, cleaning, and restoration of refrigerants from old air conditioners to “as new” quality for reuse. Daikin also featured its Micro-Hydroelectric power generation system, which supports the realization of a carbon-neutral society by providing sustainable and independent electricity with low environmental impact. In addition, Daikin distributed its “Sustainable You” booklet to the event participants to raise awareness on critical environmental issues, including climate change, carbon footprints and air pollution.

Daikin Malaysia further demonstrated its Air Purifier which incorporates the unique Double Method—a combination of Active Plasma Ion and Streamer Technology—capable of decomposing viruses, bacteria, and allergens while simultaneously eliminating odors and dust (PM2.5) in the air.

The event also saw participation from various other Japanese companies, including IHI Corporation, UMW Toyota, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Panasonic Holdings Corporation, PMCare, Cyberdyne Inc., and the Japan National Tourism Organization, all of which highlighted their respective efforts in promoting environmental sustainability and health protection.
