Daikin Malaysia (Myanmar Branch) Donates Relief Aid to Earthquake Victims in Myanmar
Yangon: Myanmar is grappling with the aftermath of the powerful earthquake that struck the country on Friday, 28 March 2025. The 7.7 magnitude earthquake has claimed more than 3,000 lives and over 4,500 have been injured. The strong quake has caused significant disruption and hardship for many, with numerous families left without access to basic necessities.
In a show of solidarity and support for the people of Myanmar, Daikin Malaysia’s Myanmar branch has pledged its assistance to the affected communities. Daikin’s key donations will provide vital relief which includes:
• Purified Water Machines: To address the urgent need for clean water in the aftermath of the earthquake, Daikin is donating purified water machines. These machines will provide safe drinking water for affected communities, particularly in areas where access to clean water has been severely limited.
• Caring Packages for affected business partners: Daikin is extending support to its network of business partners in Myanmar who have been affected by the earthquake. Caring packages containing food and essential items are distributed to ensure that these dealers and their families have the necessary resources during this difficult time.
• Relief Packages for Earthquake Victims: In addition to the above, Daikin is providing relief packages directly to those most impacted by the earthquake. These packages contain essential food and medical supplies, and other crucial items which will help the victims to meet their immediate needs and begin rebuilding their lives.
