Daikin Research and Development Malaysia is officially a Certified Body Testing Laboratory

Daikin Research and Development Malaysia (DRDM) celebrated a significant achievement by officially becoming a Certified Body Testing Laboratory (CBTL) under the internationally recognized IECEE Certification Body Scheme. The event was graced by Daikin Chief Operating Officer Mr Toshiharu Tsurumaru, DRDM Vice President Mr Lim Soon Kiong, Managing Director of Intertek Singapore Mr Stanley and Intertek Singapore’s assessors.

As an IECEE-certified laboratory, DRDM is now responsible for testing the safety and quality of electrical and electronic products in accordance with international standards. This certification enhances DRDM’s reputation as a reliable testing facility, improving its capability to facilitate global market access and ensuring compliance with international regulations.

DRDM will focus on testing and certifying products such as air conditioners, air purifiers, and Heat Reclaim Ventilators (VAM). With its CBTL status, DRDM can expedite the certification process without the need for external assistance, leading to cost savings, shortening of lead time and fostering innovation. DRDM takes pride in being the first within the Daikin Group to achieve this status.
