18 August 2023, Kuala Lumpur: Answering the call of the Malaysian government, recently Daikin Malaysia held an information exchange seminar on the current Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for Healthcare Providers. Daikin Malaysia invited the important stakeholders to the event and the event is attended by 77 participants from various Government Ministries and Departments such Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT), Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and various concessions.

The seminar, “IAQ Refining The Air Standard” is the first seminar collaboration between Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd (DAMA) and its sales arm, Daikin Malaysia Sales and Service (DMSS) whereby DAMA plays a pivotal role in collaborating with its affiliates to develop IAQ awareness and position Daikin Group as an IAQ hub. The objective of the seminar is to share information on the IAQ technologies for hospitals and clinics. Being an organization driven by innovation, Daikin introduced four (4) key technologies to deliver improved indoor air quality to meet the current guidelines and regulations in general areas and critical areas in the health care facilities:

Four (4) key technologies
1. Air cooling (temperature & humidity control)
2. Air ventilation (fresh air, virus & odour dilution, pressure control)
3. Air filtration (dust & virus filtration)
4. Control and maintenance (backbone to maintain 3 factors above)

Daikin is championing the cause to improve IAQ in the healthcare sector as the healthcare sector are most acutely affected by indoor air pollution and it is the top-priority infrastructure of society. Poor air quality in hospitals and clinics increases the risk of infections in patients, visitors and staffs. Hence, Daikin’s Concept and Solutions to improve IAQ in the healthcare sector has sparked interest among Malaysia’s Policy Makers.

Daikin being the pioneer in “Perfecting the Air”, through this information sharing session will benefit government, public and private sectors where issues of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) can be addressed with the aim to ensure clean and healthy air for general public. Daikin continues to strive with a strong sense of passion to offer innovative solutions to provide clean and safe air for not only health care sector but also commercial and residential sectors as well.
